SEUSSICAL JR HOT SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL 2/28-3/1/2013
A delight for children to perform, SEUSSICAL is now one of the most-performed shows in America! In this fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza, Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (LUCKY STIFF, MY FAVORITE YEAR, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, and RAGTIME) have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination--Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge--not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!SEUSSICAL JR. is fun for the whole family! Young performers will be excited to portray the characters from the familiar Dr. Seuss fables. This musical provides wonderful creative opportunities in terms of set design, lighting, and costuming.Note: for this version, certain

DISCO INFERNO WEST CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL 3/1-3/3/2013
If you love the 1970s, then you'll love this riotous trip back to a sparklier time. DISCO INFERNO is even more dazzling than that mirror ball spinning above the dance floor.Three words to describe this stylized musical would be "Faust with Flare." Grabbing that jive old story and injecting it with groove, DISCO INFERNO is chock-full of the songs that defined a generation. Jack is an aspiring musician who wants nothing more than to be famous, so signing away this thing called a soul is a small price to pay. But he finds all that glitters isn't gold on the other side, especially if you're all out of love. With its retro setting, the show oozes nostalgia and inspires smiles to hustle their way onto audience members' faces. Riddled with opportunities to feature many and/or all cast members, this sublime more-than-just-a-jukebox musical can fit immaculately into any theatre organization's season.

John responds with humor at every turn. "I feel I'm gonna pass on very soon," she says. "Will it be today?" he asks. "I took two steaks out of the freezer. I'll put one back."
